5) Prunes

Blend all of the ingredients in a blender. Take 1 teaspoon 30 minutes before meal twice daily. Keep the mixture in glass container with a tight lid on in the fridge for up to 6 months. It won’t go off as it’s got self preserving components.

This mixture is particularly great for autumn and winter months as an immunity booster and taking it will make you less prone if not at all, to viral infections.

Your body will thank you with the feelings of energy, vitality and agility.

Miracle Health and Longevity Drink

Juice of a half lemon

1 dessert spoon honey

200-250ml of warm water not hotter than 40C, not boiling though as it will kill all the goodness of honey.

Drink it first thing in the morning after a glass of clear water, and during the day whatever possible, it’s a beautiful refreshing drink and the benefits are too many.

Overall cleanser, detoxifier and alkaliser. Make it your ‘self-loving’ routine to drink at least one of those a day.

All you need is your belief in your own will power, something that goes like this “I know I can do it and I sure will and it’s only 4 minutes.
No time? Really? Not even 4 minutes?! Come on! All you need is your belief in your own will power, something that goes like this “I know I can do it and I sure will and it’s only 4 minutes. Kick start your day with fat frying, mood boosting and energizing workout blast that will rave up your metabolism for the rest of the day and will make you feel so proud of yourself.

This workout can ‘’interrupt’’ your body results plateau and make you achieve better results i.e. if you consistently do same routines your body gets used to it and hence you don’t get the results you set to get so you need a little more kick for your system and what a way: Tabata Style, High-intensity interval training (HIIT), also called high-intensity intermittent exercise (HIIE) or sprint interval training (SIT), is an enhanced form of interval training, an exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. HIIT is a form of cardiovascular exercise. Usual HIIT sessions may vary from 4–30 minutes. These short, intense workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, improved glucose metabolism, and improved fat burning.

These are my favorites if you would like to try… you can perform one cycle of 4 minutes (2 or 3 if you are up to it) consisting of 30 seconds each exercise, 4 exercises repeated twice. Or it can be 8 different exercises, one after the other for 30 seconds each or if you need to give yourself a little rest try to do exercise for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds. Also the emphasis of Tabata can be on the most desired muscle group i.e. legs, abs, butt, arms or a mixture. Try it and you will notice a change quite rapidly.

The lady in this video combined the tabata 4 minutes workout with intermittent fasting that can double up the desired goal of losing fat. You won’t faint, honestly, I did it many times so as many others. It will seriously propel your metabolism to flying really high. Ha ha She actually explains the intermittent fasting in her video. Have a look. She’s got a serious body on her. I know, not everybody’s cup of tea or coffee, but still… something to strive for in a pursuit of fitting in that favorite dress.

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

How you start your day has a huge impact on the rest of the day ahead. 5 Tips for a happy constructive life!

1. WATER

Water is number 1. After waking up, brush your teeth and drink at least 2 cups of good quality water. The Japanese, who are known as the most healthiest and long living nation on the earth, aim for 4 cups of 160 ml water to start each day, but I would start with at least 1 or 2 cups especially if you’ve never done it before so that the body system gets used to it. Water is a powerful cleanser of all bodily systems and water gets more and more recognition for being an amazing healer on it’s own.

You’ll be surprised to know how many people are chronically dehydrated on a daily basis and think it’s normal to feel like they do i.e. fatigued, tired and exhausted, thinking that is all to do with their activities, business life and environmental pollution… according to research this is not so. Hydration is the key to healthy and active life. And the best time to drink and replenish your body is first thing in the morning. Give it a go and see for yourself. Try it for at least 60-90 days to see the difference in your health and energy levels. Who would have thought that something as readily available to us as pure water could have such a big impact on our wellbeing?

2. MEDITATION

A little 5 minute meditation on positive affirmations every day prior to starting your busy life schedule is proven to make you feel less anxious and stressed about the day ahead. This saves you wasted energy to apply to your goals and be more level in your daily work/life routines.

Why not try these youtube meditations to get you started? I have found them to be useful

3. PLAN

Think of the day ahead and create a little plan of things you wish to do. And even when you complete 30-40% at the end of your day praise yourself. The more you do it the more productive you will be in the next days. Do not feel bad about not completing the list of things you set out to do at the start of the day. The most important thing is to start and be happy with little achievements that will propel you to do more and better in the future. Your mind will feel positive every time you finish and tick off one of the tasks on your list.

4. TAKE A MOMENT FOR YOURSELF

Find 5-10 minutes in a day to do something that gives you joy like a favorite hobby. Believe me even giving 5 minutes to what your soul is longing for will make you feel terrific and bring the best out of you.

5. CALM THE MIND REGULARLY

There is so much destruction in the modern world, and it’s hard to focus on the most important things. People find themselves easily frustrated, depressed and anxious. A lot of our issues are the result of our scattered thoughts. We are pulled in so many directions by the things we need to do, the people we need to take care of, kids errands and the list go on and on and on…

The best thing to do is try and calm the mind regularly throughout the day either using meditation or a little Qigong session for 10 minutes.

I have found this to be helpful and the videos below are a good start:

There is also a lovely explanation about Qigong here:

I found this talk very interesting and life changing to some extent.

Another good way to get rid of excessive stress, anxiety and negativity is Qigong Tapping

I found this talk very interesting and life changing to some extent.

SUMMARY

These techniques have been used for centuries and proven to work but only if you exercise them regularly just like brushing your teeth.

Ok maybe not as regular as that J as I understand how busy our lives get sometimes with pointless things so finding that piece of mind for at least 10 minutes will affect your mood in a better more calm and focused way. Give it a try.
